Not all representatives of the breed contribute to the improvement of the breed in general, so not any purebred animal can be bred. Health, temperament and trainability of the breeding stock are evaluated prior to breeding. In reputable kennels, all litters have their specific aims, but puppy mills and hobby breeders usually produce mediocre dogs. It’s not wise to buy a purebred puppy on impulse.
